Episode 2: Reinventing The Dilator

Reinventing The Dilator: How Rachel Bartholomew Solved Her Own Health Issue

On this episode of “me-search,” JT speaks with Rachel Bartholomew founder of Hyivy, Femtech Canada, and Femtech Across Borders. While recovering from a hysterectomy and lymphadenectomy, Rachel recognized the need for innovation in pelvic health. This led her to reinvent the 80-year-old dilator and create a holistic device designed to treat, monitor, track, and prevent various pelvic symptoms. This is how Hyivy was born.

JT and Rachel discuss the importance of femtech, women’s health funding, and the evolving and sometimes frustrating landscape of women’s health initiatives.
